I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the Kinky Tresses products. I have used these products for I’d say 2-3 years now. I have tried all the brands you can think of and Kinky Tresses is my #1 for my very thick, coarse, type 4 hair. Kinky Tresses has truly transformed the health of my hair. I did not care for this one. I love the shampoo from this brand. But this conditioner just didn't work for me. It is very thick and harder to apply than I prefer. My hair felt good opon rinsing but when it was time to finish, my hair felt coated and tangled. I got some minor flakes a few days later when I was retwisting my hair with my normal cream. My hair still felt coated with something. I'm looking forward to my next wash day to start over. Too bad. So many people love this product. Just didn't work for me. I used about 1/3 of the jar. I don't think I'm going to use it again. Maybe a family member can try the rest.

The texture was somewhat thick but very creamy. Light fresh scent. I applied to wet hair. Alittle goes a long way seriously and I'm heavy handed. I was pleasantly surprised to see I will get several uses out of this container instead of just 1 or 2. I sat under the hooded dryer for 20 minutes. After rinsing, my hair felt soft and smooth. Really enjoyed this product.

I have fine, heavy, long hair with a sensitive scalp. I also have severe chronic pain, and I have trouble washing my hair. Usually I take a fast shower before the pain gets too bad. When I can't wash it, I brush the restorative conditioner through damp hair the night before my shower. Then I rinse my hair with warm water while I'm in there instead of a full wash. This trick has kept my hair happy, shiny, and manageable. I'm really grateful that I found Kinky Tresses. Years ago I had a bad salon visit that left my scalp burning & my hair looking like straw. Kinky Tresses helped get my hair beautiful again, I wish I had tried it sooner - my scalp burned 24/7 for about 2 years. I just want to say thank you for providing such good quality products that don't harm sensitive scalps / hair. You gave me back my beautiful hair again, I cried when the scalp burning stopped.
